Motorcycle rider taken to hospital with serious injuries
A 36-year-old North Bay motorist has been charged with careless driving following a collision on Highway 17 in Nipissing First Nation just before 6 pm Monday.
OPP say the investigation revealed that an eastbound motorcycle was cut off by a westbound passenger car. The car made a left turn in front of the motorcycle causing the driver to take evasive action and fall.
The driver of the motorcycle was taken to hospital serious injuries, police say.
The driver of the car, a 36-year-old person from North Bay was charged with careless driving. OPP did not identify the driver.
The highway was closed for a short period of time while officers conducted an investigation.
