If you got game, bring it to Cambrian College.

Cambrian College says it is pleased to announce it is launching a new game design program in September.

“We are so excited to offer this amazing new program for students,” Paula Gouveia, VP academic at Cambrian College, said in a release. “This program is very forward-facing. Gaming is a billion-dollar industry on par with the motion picture sector and we know we can harness the creativity, programming talents and enthusiasm of students looking for an amazing career in this field.”

Cambrian’s game design program offers students links between animation, media communications and mobile app development while focusing on game development and eventual creation.

“There is such demand for keen and qualified programmers and creators in this industry,” Bill Best, the college president, added. “At Cambrian we offer the programming that students want and just as importantly, that industry is seeking. There are jobs all over the continent in this field and we’ll be helping fill those spots with amazing Cambrian grads.”

Why just play video games when you can design them?

The new program launches in September. Applications are now being accepted.
